Zenit won the last regular season game against UNICS

The last game of the regular season was against the same team we faced in the very first game of the year, which is UNICS Kazan. Since that game, a lot has changed, including thwe rosters. Zenit changed three foreigners, UNICS signed Marcos Knight and Ivan Lazarev from Samara. But what didn’t change is the fact that both teams are still competitors and aim for the gold.

The game started well for the guests as they took a double-digit lead in the first quarter. But then Heurtel and Moerman both scored threes and almost got it even. The second quarter was good for Zenit, and our team – with the help from Klimenko and Volkhin – won the period and finished the half on 41-41. The third quarter was good for Zenit as our team had +8 with 10 minutes to go, and despite the fact that UNICS tried its best to come back, Zenit won the last game of the regular season – 83:78.
