Zenit starts the quarterfinals with a 0-1 against MBA

Welcome to playoffs! Zenit started defending its title with a quarterfinal against MBA, a team that we faced 6 times since September 2022. Fie times we won, so we were planning to do the same in the 1/4 stage and qualify for the semis.

But MBA wasn’t ready to just give up. The opponents lost their main center, so they substituted him with young Savchenko from the second roster. Moscow team was solid, and even though Zenit seemed better in the first half, guests didn’t let our team go very far – just +6 at the half.

But MBA is a team that never gives up. With -14 in the last quarter, they started to score threes after threes, made a 15-0 run and… won it in the end.
