Zenit cruised past Astana on the road

After winning the first game of 2023 in Minsk, our team went to Kazakhstan to play against BC Astana. The team was next to last in the standings, but in December played better than before. Andrey Toptunov said before the game that there was no place to relax.

The first quarter was the best one for Zenit as we won it by 15 pts with the last-second shot from Kulagin. Next two quarters were more or less even, and just when Astana tried to get closed in the fourth, Zenit pushed once again and grabbed the victory – 93:75.

Thomas Heurtel finished the game with 23+13, Caleb Homesley added 19 pts, Thomas Wimbush scored 11 pts, Richard Solomon and Dmitry Kulagin both added 10 pts.
