Artem Komogortsev takes over Zenit-M

Artem Komogortsev is a new head coach of our youth team Zenit-M. He signed a one-year contract.

Last season, Komogortsev was at the helm of Superleague-1 team Kupol-Rodniki from Izhevsk. Back then, he was one of the youngest head coaches in the competition history. He also has experience working with youth teams as he was an assistant in Lokomotiv-Kuban-COP-CYBL in season 2020/21.

Artem Komogortsev, Zenit-M head coach:

— There’s a lot of wrk to do, but the expectations are very high. I’ve already worked at both youth and mature levels, so I don’n think there will be any additional obstacles on the way. We started a preparation for the season, now we aim to improve qualities of the players, we want to put a good base we’ll be leaning on during the season.

Next VTB Youth League will feature the same teams like it was the previous year. Those are: Zenit-M, CSKA Junior, Khimki-2, Lokomotiv-Kuban-2-COP, Samara-2, Parma-M, UNICS-2, Avtodor-2, Nizhny Novgorod-2, Enisey-2, MBA-2, and Runa-2.
