Boris Livanov takes over Zenit-2
Well-known Russian coach Boris Livanov takes over Zenit-2, a team that will represent our club in Superleague. He is coming on a one-year deal.
Livanov was born in Saint Petersburg and has already worked in Zenit. Back in 2015-2018, he was an assistant coach for then-HC Vasily Karasev. After he left the club, Livanov went to coach Metallurg Magnitogorsk in Superleague-2 and Uralmash Ekaterinburg in Superleague. He left Uralmash in October, 2021.
Boris Livanov has already won Superleague in 2011 with Spartak-Primorye. He’s also a silver medalist of U16 European championship (2011), Russian Cup (2012), VTB United League (2017), and Superleague (2021).

I’m very glad to come back to Zenit. Nice to see how club’s academy is progressing, the results are already here. Zenit-2 is a final stage of preparing kids for mature basketball, and I’m sure that soon the guys from this team will be added to the main roster.
