‘’Excited to finally play for Xavi instead of against him’’. Trey Thompkins is joining Zenit
Zenit signed a one-year contract with 32 years old American forward Trey Thompkins. Welcome to the club, Trey!

I’m super excited after all these years to finally be playing for Xavi instead of against him. I know he’s a master so I’m ready to learn and win. I’m looking forward to another experience in Russia. I’ve met some amazing people there and I expect the same thing. Basketball is the focus and everything else will take care of itself in time.

Trey Thompkins is the new addition in our team. We expect him to bring his quality and experience in the court, so Zenit to have a successful season.
Thompkins had already played in Russia back in 2014-2015 season when he was a player of Nizhny Novgorod. He came after one year playing in the NBA and two years of rehabilitation as he got a serious injury back in 2012. He shined so bright in BC NN that got an offer from Real Madrid. He accepted an offer and, since then, spent 7 years in Spanish capital.
He’s coming to Saint Petersburg as a Euroleague champion and a 4x Liga ACB winner.
