Two more years with the captain!

Forward Andrey Zubkov, 30, has signed a new 2-years contract with our club.

The upcoming season will be the fourth in a row for the native of Chelyabinsk, in which he will wear a blue-white jersey.

Andrey played 34 games in the long season of the VTB United League, in most of which he took the team to the floor in the status of captain. In total, Andrey played 141 official games with Zenit in the VTB United League and in the Euroleague and became not only one of the most experienced, but also one of the most respected players in Russia and in Europe.

Andrey played an important role in creating a microclimate in the team and, as captain, was the first to raise the S. Belov Cup over his head for winning the VTB United League.

Stats in the VTB League 2021-22 season: 4.4 ppg (60% 2FG, 26.3% 3FG, 60% FT), 2.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 19 minutes.
