CSKA managed to recover from a 15-point deficit (42-27) in the first half and had an upper hand throughout the third quarter (60-53), however, Jordan Mickey sparked a 10-0 run for Zenit to start the fourth quarter and they rode that momentum until the very end.

Sergey Karasev, Jordan Loyd, and Denis Zakharov also played a crucial role in the fourth quarter with important points.

Mickey finished the game with 19 points as the top scorer on both sides while Loyd scored 15 and Alex Poythress 13 points. Billy Baron managed to reach ten points despite a bad shooting streak from long-range, which was also a problem for the rest of the squad.
